-- Rachael Cowan --
This PowerTalk will provide an overview of the subjective tips and reliable clinical tests to diagnose greater trochanteric pain syndrome (GTPS).  We will discuss how to identify irritating gluteal tendon load and how to remove it.  Evidence-based conservative management options for greater trochanteric pain syndrome will be covered, including principles of exercise.  With a special focus on overall patient health, we will delve into the association between reduced female sex hormones and tendon dysfunction.  We will also talk through latest research surrounding treatment for post-menopausal women with immediate translation to clinical practice.
